Lactose intolerance affects many aspects of daily life. However, this does not necessarily mean that you have to do without anything. Lactrase® capsules and tablets – as well as our following tips and tricks for everyday life – can help.
Talk about your special dietary requirements when you are invited or when you visit a restaurant. This is particularly important for dishes that do not obviously contain lactose (e.g. salad dressings or soups).
Here, as in all other situations, if you are not sure whether a food or drink contains lactose, you can take the precaution of using Lactrase® for carefree enjoyment.
This applies, for example, to fast food, ready-made sauces and soups, canned food, frozen meals, ready-made mashed potato mixes, confectionery (e.g. pralines, chocolate, snack bars, etc.), bread, pastries and cakes as well as meat and sausage products.
When buying unpackaged food, such as sausage, bread, cakes and fish products, ask whether the product was made using lactose, milk or milk products (e.g. sweet or sour cream).
If you need to take medication, ask your doctor or pharmacist whether the product is lactose-free, or check the list of ingredients yourself.
